Instead of your own box, you watch and score a different box you’ve been assigned to — that keeps you unbiased. Once you finish your judging duty, your own box unlocks and the highest-scored video wins.

There’s no panel of judges deciding who wins on Box of Fun — but you can’t score your own box either. You rate a different box you have no stake in, which makes you an unbiased judge.
You can watch and like the videos in your own box, but that has no effect on the result. You rate a different box you’ve been assigned to — since you have no stake in its outcome, you can’t favor anyone.
In a five-video box, you hand out scores 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 — each one exactly once. So you can’t give everyone a high score and skew the result.
You watch each video before you can score it. Anyone who doesn’t finish their judging duty keeps their own box locked.
Once a box fills up and its videos are approved, voting runs for up to 6 hours. When time’s up, the box is automatically settled with whatever votes came in.
You judge a different box than your own — you watch all 5 of its videos and give each one a different score. At the same time, other participants are scoring your box. The video with the highest total wins its box.
Wherever there’s a prize, someone will try to game it. Three separate safeguards stop that before it starts.
The system decides which box you join, not you. This is a neutral assignment that gives no one an advantage. Participants’ identities also stay hidden until the competition ends — so "let’s join the same box as my friend and rate each other" simply isn’t possible.
Two people joining from the same IP address or the same phone never end up in the same box. This stops one person from entering the same competition with multiple accounts to boost their own chances.
Uploaded videos are automatically screened for inappropriate content (violence, hate speech, explicit material) before they’re published. Anything that doesn’t pass isn’t entered into the competition.
Use the flag icon in the corner of any video to report it or to block its owner. Identities stay hidden until the contest ends — you will never be placed in the same box as someone you blocked. Reports are reviewed by our team, and accounts that break the rules are suspended.
Entry fees from a box are pooled together. 20% of the pool is set aside as the platform’s share; the rest is distributed as follows.
Not every box costs anything. You can join free boxes without paying, and if you win you still earn BOF Jeton. You can use the tokens you build up to enter paid boxes or spend them in the store.
BOF Jeton is an in-app point used to join competitions and claim rewards from the store. You earn it by winning competitions or by purchasing it inside the app.
Alongside the regular boxes, there are other formats you can play at a different pace.
Each week a category and the prize are announced in advance. The entry fee is fixed, the number of participants is unlimited, and the contest closes at the announced time rather than when a box fills up. Voting has two rounds: first everyone ranks 5 random videos to pick the finalists, then everyone scores the same finalists — so which group you land in doesn’t change the result.
Set up your own box with friends and invite them with a 6-digit code. There is no entry fee and no token prize, and it doesn’t affect your BOF Score — it’s just for fun. Everyone scores everyone else’s video in the box.
In a box that an admin has marked as public and whose voting is still open, if you aren’t a participant you can pick one of the videos and earn a small BOF Jeton reward. Your vote doesn’t affect the box’s result, ranking or prize split. You can vote on a given box only once.
Everyone starts with a score of 1000. After each contest your score is updated based on your ranking — like the Elo system in chess. In your first 5 boxes the score moves faster so you settle at your real level quickly. You can see your score and the leaderboard on your profile.
The tokens you win build up in your account. BOF Store has both digital rewards delivered instantly and physical products shipped to your address.
Credited to your account instantly. You can also gift them to another user if you’d like.
Shipped to the address you provide; the shipping fee is charged in BOF Jeton on top of the item price. Track your order status right from the app. If your tokens fall short, you can top up the difference inside the app through the App Store or Google Play.
Can’t afford an expensive physical item on your own? Multiple people can each chip in from their own token balance to buy it together. Tokens never change hands between people — everyone spends their own share directly. If the target isn’t reached within 24 hours, everyone’s tokens are refunded automatically.
Add appearance items to your profile such as a frame, name color, theme, holographic badge and reaction pack. They only change how things look — they give no advantage in contests.

Tap the flag icon in the corner of the video, choose a reason and report it. From the same sheet you can also block the video’s owner. Because identities are hidden you won’t see who it is, and you’ll never be placed in the same box as someone you blocked.
With the “Delete my account” option at the bottom of the Profile screen in the app. Your personal data and videos are deleted or anonymized, and any remaining BOF Jeton balance is deleted too. If you have an ongoing contest, group purchase or undelivered order, those must finish first.

A regular box locks the moment it fills up; the Contest of the Week closes at the announced time and has unlimited participants. The prize is announced in advance and voting has two rounds (elimination and final). It’s a second format alongside regular boxes, not a replacement.
A private box you join with an invite code and play with your friends. There is no entry fee or token prize, and it doesn’t affect your BOF Score. Unlike regular boxes, opponents aren’t randomly assigned — you enter with the people you invited.
A number that reflects how well you do in contests. It starts at 1000 and is updated after each contest based on your ranking. It is separate from BOF Jeton and from the points you give inside a box, and it has no monetary value.
